Why meditate?
Meditation is perhaps the most useful tool that we have for coping with life, exploring our inner world and bringing ourselves closer to the source of our being. A five minute meditation in the morning can help you calm yourself and set priorities for the day. An evening meditation can help you to leave the worries of the day behind so that you can sleep better and have a fresh start tomorrow. And of course, meditation is a way to communicate with our higher consciousness.
Calm and focused
Meditation isn't just a euphemism for napping; it's a state of highly focused awareness. When you first start meditating, your head will probably be filled with the concerns of the day. Once you've cleared and relaxed your mind, you might want to use this opportunity to evaluate them. One by one, acknowledge them and let them slip out of your mind. By bringing a single thought or feeling into your mind, you can focus all your attention on understanding it or finding a solution to it.
Visualization
In visualization meditations, you use your imagination to create an inner scenario in which you participate. Visualizations can be very simple, just holding a mental picture of something that you would like to receive. They can also be richly textured stories - vision quests in which you encounter the citizens of your inner world. Some of the most useful meditations are those in which you heal and strengthen your mind and body, and those in which you journey inward to explore your unconscious mind.
Relax into joy
In the beginning, many people have difficulty meditating. Their minds won't stop racing, they fall asleep or, of course, "I'm too stressed to meditate!" With meditation coaching, I can help you to identify the beliefs that make it difficult for you and create a program that fits meditation into your life. Whether you're part of an overall coaching program or just doing the meditation coaching, I'll create meditations specifically geared to your needs and abilities. Classes and workshops
I offer regular meditation classes and workshops. Subjects range from the basics - "I always get an itch!", "Should I sit up or lie down?", "How do I visualize?" to more specific goals and objectives - cleansing your chakras and aura, working with your soul and your higher self.
